Word on the street

Zhoubot. Rhymes with robot.

American addicted to life abroad. Since 2008 I've lived in Dalian, Shanghai, and Singapore; now I'm currently based in Paris. I've worked in journalism, tech-start ups, reality television, China blogging, and now travel blogging. I mostly write at expatedna.com.

I'm into: traveling the world, photography with a purpose, and Irish accents.

Ezra left this morning. I wouldn’t be here in Singapore if it weren’t for him (though it could be argued he wouldn’t’ve made it here if it weren’t for me convincing him to go to Asia). We’ve been friends since my freshman year of college and it feels just a little weird now not having that connection to home around. There’s been ups and downs but suffice it to say that it’s been a heck of a four months.
