Mock trial end-of-the-year party

Celebrating the end of a long year that kicked our asses but brought us Jayne. She’s the District Judge for our area, and this was her first year as our coach. Plus, not only is she a super sharp legal mind, but she is a spectacular cook, and lives in a ridiculously large, cozy house that the team loves visiting.

We had an ‘awards ceremony’ for funsies where we gave each other superlatives (mostly full of inside jokes), but then we surprised Jayne with a legit Advisor of the Year award from the College. We’d all banded together and nominated her, and she actually won and got a really nice glass trophy/plaque with her name on it. I can’t say I’ll miss mock trial too much, but I’m gonna really miss Jayne.

Anyway, that’s the end of that. Bittersweet, but just another “last” in the couple weeks left before graduation.
